Graze Box: Week of 10/13/14

I’m a little late on updating this! It’s been a busy week at home and this just kept getting pushed to the side. But better late than never, right?

This box from Graze was probably one of my favourites that I’ve had so far! So let’s get down to the details.

What: Graze nibble box, a collection of 4 portion-controlled snacks, each with a nutritional benefit!
How much?: Graze currently runs $7/box, and you can have the boxes delivered weekly or bi-weekly, and you’re able to pause your subscription if needed. The boxes have been cheaper in the past, but they have promised that whatever price you subscribe at will be the price you keep!
Referral: If you’re interested in trying Graze out for free, you can use my referral link located here, or you can enter the code AMYP4HJLB on the site! Using my link or code will get you your first box absolutely FREE, and if you decide to stay with the subscription, your fifth box will come to you free as well!

Now, on to the box!

20141013_14195620141013_142019I love the graze boxes! They’re so pretty and simple, with the plain brown box and the pretty packaging inside! Each box contains 4 snacks chosen for you from a list over over 90 available snacks, and it also includes a small pamphlet telling you a bit about some aspect of the company along with the nutritional facts for your particular snacks and their expiration date.

Graze Box: Week of 10/6/14

Another week, another Graze box!

Now one thing I want to note about Graze is that their customer service is amazing. There are a lot of different snacks available on Graze, over 90 of them, I believe, and after four months of subscribing, I still had a ton that I hadn’t tried! So I made a comment about that on their Facebook page, then had an opportunity to email one of their staff about it. I explained what I wanted, that I would like some new things, and she explained some ways I could ‘tweak’ my preferences in order to get some new things. So recently, I’ve had a lot of new things pop up in my Graze boxes, and lots of fruit, which is my favourite!

This week’s box included one thing I had already had (Summer Berry Flapjack) and three things I had not had (Eleanor’s Apple Crumble, Triple Berry Smoothie, and the Natural Energy Nuts).

This is a closeup of Eleanor’s Apple Crumble. Described on their site as “raisins, cinnamon and honey almonds and soft apple pieces”, it certainly lives up to the ingredient list! The raisins are just normal raisins, a bit of rub off of the cinnamon, but nothing extraordinary. The apple pieces are soft and chewy, very true to the flavor, and the cinnamon and honey almonds are amazing! Get a bit of everything in one bite and I can definitely get the Apple Crumble out of it! This one goes in my ‘love’ pile!

20141008_150446The Natural Energy Nuts weren’t quite as much of a hit with me. Described on the website as “walnuts, roasted hazelnuts, blanched almonds and almonds”, that’s all they really are. There’s no salt to be seen, and I’ve discovered that I’m someone who definitely likes some salt with her nut mixes. That wasn’t to say it was bad, though. If you enjoy plain nuts, then you’d probably enjoy this one, but it wasn’t for me! Trash pile, say hello!

The Triple Berry Smoothie was next on my list, and this one was definitely a hit! Described on the website as “mini strawberries, blueberries, cranberries and chewy banana coins”, that’s definitely what you get. The strawberries are tiny things, soft and moist, and packed with strawberry flavor. The blueberries and cranberries are amazing, and this is the ONLY way that I like my dried bananas: In a Graze box! They’re chewy, not crunchy, and true to flavor. I don’t usually like bananas except with they’re fresh, but Graze has shown me they can be amazing!

Get a bit of everything and enjoy this one. It’s definitely packed full of berries and the creaminess of banana!

20141010_115618Oh flapjacks. I think songs might have been written about you. This one is their Summer Berry Flapjack, described on the website as “rustic rolled oat flapjack with berry-infused cranberries”. It’s absolutely amazing, and probably one of my favourite flapjacks that they offer!

It’s soft and dense and packed with those berry-infused cranberries. You could definitely portion this one out for several snacks, but alas, I have no willpower so it was gone as my dessert after my lunch today!

As always, Graze continues to please, and I don’t see myself ending my subscription to them any time soon. With the upcoming release of their Big Bags, I’m really excited to have larger quantities of my favourite snacks available!

If you want to give Graze a try, I encourage you to do so! You can click here to try Graze absolutely FREE! You’ll get your first box free, and if you decide you love it enough to subscribe, your fifth box will come to you free as well! You will have to enter your credit card info in order to claim this offer, but they won’t charge you unless you continue your subscription.

Another Graze Box review!

I had intended on reviewing these more regularly, but life got away from me and then phone issues made all my pictures wonky on my phone, so here I am, back at it!

This is my Graze box from last week, and was a pretty good box, over all!

20140929_164858 20140929_164903

This is a view of my full box with all my tasty things laid out! So, my thoughts on them?

I absolutely adore Graze’s dried fruit collections, and this one is probably one of my favourites. Now one thing to note about their dried fruit is that it isn’t crunchy in the slightest. These are soft pieces for the most part, like raisins are, and oh so delicious. I love the lingonberries and blueberries that are included in this, and have to admit that I picked them out and ate them separately!! This one is definitely a ‘love’ for me!

This one was pretty tasty as well. Small pieces of fudge, salted peanuts & redskin peanuts, and mini chocolate cookies. It’s best to get a little bit of everything when you take a bite so you really get a taste of what they’re going for.

I’m not usually a nut person, but their nuts always taste so good and have such a good texture to them! This goes into my ‘like’ pile!

Oh, My Thai, how I love thee. Most of the items in Graze’s ‘Dipper’ collection are pretty awesome, and the My Thai is no exception! The soy bites are very light and crunchy, without a lot of flavour on their own, which makes them perfect to go with the Sweet Chili Sauce. It’s sweet, spicy, and oh so good.

The only thing I want to note about the My Thai… if you really love it, check out Frank’s RedHot Sweet Chili Sauce. It’s not quite the same, and I still think Graze’s is loads better, but it’s pretty darned close. My hubby and I love using it as a dip for potato things, like chips and fries!

And last, but certainly not least, the Brownie Flapjacks. The Flapjacks tend to be a favourite of everyone who gives them a try, and I certainly fall into that group. Similar to a granola bar, the flapjacks are soft and chewy, dense with oats, and not overly sweet. I always consider it a good box when there’s a flapjack in there as I tend to love them… but this one was not a love! It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but the impact of the chocolate flavor was just not there for me. I prefer their fruit and seed flapjacks, or any of the berry ones. Still, good enough that it goes in my ‘like’ pile!

Overall, Graze is amazing. Their customer service is top-notch, and they are quick to respond and to offer solutions to problems, even when it’s not them at fault!

If you feel like giving Graze a try, feel free to use my referral link. This will get you your first AND fifth box absolutely free! You will have to put in your credit card info to try, but they won’t charge you unless you decide you want more than that single box initially! So give it a try… and tell me what you think!

So, I have a new love…

And her name is Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Pardon bad clean-up job!

Pardon bad clean-up job!

This stuff is seriously a miracle in a little bottle. I kept hearing about it, but since it wasn’t something I was able to find at the stores I normally get my polish at (Target, Walmart, Walgreens), I never picked any up. I was just using my Essie Top Coat, which was so-so but it gave shine and that’s what I wanted from it.

But then I was placing a Prime order on Amazon and thought I’d see if it was on there. Lo and behold, I was able to get a bottle of it along with a 4 oz refill (!!!!) for around $16. I finally broke into it last night after using my new bottle of Revlon Gel Envy in Up the Ante. Did my two coats, waited for them to dry a bit, then slapped on a coat of Seche Vite.

It dried so fast! Lovely, glossy shine! And I did my nails around… 7pm last night. I go to bed around 10pm, and I can’t tell you how often I wake up with sheet marks in my nails because they were still soft when I went to bed. With this stuff? None of that! High shine, glossy, and gorgeous.

Yup, I have a new love. Wish it hadn’t taken me this long to find it!

Graze box

So, who here has discovered the love that is Graze? What? You haven’t heard of it? Well, let me tell you a little bit about my love of this site and what it offers.

Graze offers these little boxes of deliciousness called Nibble Boxes. Inside each Nibble Box are four portion-controlled snacks. These range anywhere from a nut and seed mix to some chips and salsa and everything in between.

My unopened box!

My unopened box!

This was my box I got this past week, delivered straight to my office! It’s like Christmas every week to see what kind of treats I’m going to have to enjoy.

Deliciousness awaits!

I’ve already indulged in three of the four, and I’ll give you my thoughts on them!
